Alternatively you may wish to organise your own transport. Below are some options.
By Minibus
A public minibus (Crocodile Van) departs the Chatuyak Minibus Station opposite the Mo Chit northern bus station. You can buy tickets at counter 10 in Building D. (Our last guest coming this way said that there had been some changes. If the counter is closed, try to find the minibus with a crocodile picture on the side door. Please ask for help locally. Please let us have better instructions.)
You may ask the driver to make a slight detour to drop you off at Juniper Tree, 240 Moo 5, Samroiyod. The cost is 300 baht per person. If you have a lot of luggage, they will charge for an extra seat. Feel free to print THIS MAP to give to your minibus driver, although it is not necessary.
Please let us know when you expect to arrive, so we can cater appropriately. Thanks.
Driving to The Juniper Tree Dolphin Bay
(The journey from Bangkok usually takes between 4 and 5 hours.)
Going south you will drive on AH2 through Petchaburi and then head towards Cha Am. As you near Cha Am, take the by-pass signposted to Pranburi (route 37/AH2). At the end of the by-pass you rejoin route 4 and continue into Pranburi. Once in Pranburi, after passing Global House on the left, at the traffice lights near the 25 metre high Lotus’s sign, turn left. Drive straight on (over the flyover), until you cross a river, then turn right at the T-junction, and then immediately turn left. Follow the signs for Dolphin Bay Resort and continue for 18kms. Turn left for Sam Roi Yod beach (Soi 25). As you approach the sea, follow the road round the bend to the left. The Juniper Tree is approximately 100m on the left.
Once you have unloaded your luggage, please park your vehicle in the car park behind Juniper Tree.
Please let us know when you expect to arrive, so we can cater appropriately. Thanks.
